On the day of the presentation, whether it is your presentation or your daydream, you had better make it interesting.
  1. There is no correct way.
    • Effective presentation requires the creation of two way communication between you and the audience.
    • No single set of rules will guarantee success in all situations.
    • The success of a presentation is highly dependant upon the presenter, the audience and the circumstances.
  2. Control nervousness (stage fright).
    • It is neither possible nor desirable to eliminate nervousness entirely.
    • The flow of additional adrenalin creates a feeling of excitement that is advantageous to most presentations.
    • It is however necessary to control nervousness so that it is not counterproductive.

    • Remember that your audience wants you to succeed.

    • Have a specific attainable purpose eg. informing, persuading or entertaining.
    • Have adequate content.
  4. Analyze your audience.
    • Knowledge level.
    • Attitudes about the topic.
    • Attitudes towards you.
    • Cultural composition.
    • Occupational status.
    • Educational background.
    • Age.
    • Size.
  5. Organize your presentation well.
    • Preview.
    • Introduction.
    • Body.
    • Conclusion.

  6. Use supportive evidence.
    • Statistics.
    • Testimonies.
    • Examples.
    • Explanations.
  7. Deliver effectively.
