In the last 6 months. Between 6 months and 1 year. Longer than that. I can’t remember ever being upgraded in this way. How would you describe your feelings of excitement or boredom with your job? It’s endlessly exciting and stimulating. It’s exciting most of the time. It’s usually boring. There are some exciting days. It’s tedious. I can’t wait for quitting time. How would you describe your feelings on awakening on a typical weekday? Raring to go; can’t wait to get to the office. I look forward to getting to work on most days. I often feel weary and uninspired, want to stay in bed. I hate getting up on weekdays. When your boss circulates memos, where does your name appear on the distribution list? I only deal with people on my own level or below. I almost never see anybody outside my own task group. Have you been given leadership responsibilities? Yes, I’m in a leadership position or am frequently assigned to projects in which I lead others. Once in a while, I’ve headed small task groups. I’m seldom asked to lead a group. I’ve never had any leadership experience. How often do you make recommendations that get implemented? I more or less expect that the majority of my recommendations will be implemented. I’ve had some of my recommendations implemented. I seldom make recommendations because the odds are they won’t be implemented. I’ve never made a recommendation. If I did, it would be ignored. How well do you feel you are known around the company? Many people on all levels know me well. I’m fairly well-known. I’m relatively unknown. Nobody outside my department even knows my name. How easily can you get in to see your boss or talk to him or her on the phone? My boss either talks to me immediately, or, if tied up, calls me later in the day. Sometimes I have to wait a day or so. I’m usually made to wait and sometimes must repeat my request for some of my boss’s time. My boss has no time for me. How would you describe the relationship between you and your boss?
